G-Man Tools AB acquires Lidacs business

 

 

Since 1984, G-Man Tools has been marketing hand/bow saws and bow saw blades under the G-Man trade mark Production and office is located in an own building in Edsbyn, Sweden. Today, the company is employing about 30 people. About 80% of the production is exported to more than 30 different markets all over the world.

Lidac AB was founded in 1985 and is manufacturing a wide range of saw blades for electrical and pneumatic handheld machines. The company is located in Lidköping, Sweden and employs about 15 people. For further details, please check website www.lidac.se.

The two companies have signed an agreement, meaning that G-Man Tools will acquire Lidac, with exception of their building. Machinery and production will be gradually moved to the G-Man facilities in Edsbyn. This will take place during the autumn of 2008 and should be completed by the end of November. Until further notice, business is carried on as usual through Lidac AB. Of course, a continued cooperation with the Lidac people will be a great help in this respect.

We believe that with this additional range of products, G-Man Tools will become a more interesting partner on the tool market. There will be no changes in the current Lidac range and the products will also in the future be sold under the Lidac brand to Lidac customers.

Until further notice, the Lidac operation is carrying on as up to now, but we will of course get back to you as soon as we have more detailed information about forthcoming changes.
